Spout pouch – Sprinkle premium Salt Packaging

Innovation has re-defining customer experience with something that he never imagined. 30 years ago, packaging technology did not have a strong foothold in industries such as FMCG, food and pharmaceuticals. The packaging was largely camouflaged under the ‘packing’ operation under production and the innovation would take place under the R&D, Quality Assurance and Quality Control departments. There were no packaging consultants and packaging teams like those that exist today. The new development was a part of the R&D banner of which packaging was a mere subsection.

In a broad sense, packaging technology goes hand in hand with any new product development and supply chains. It is the first thing that interacts with a prospective consumer and end-user and today consumer convenience is deemed the most significant criteria for new product development, and packaging is an important aspect to it. Concerning salt, its packaging has come a long way. There has been a 360-degree transformation that has taken place from packing to packaging technology in the salt industry.

From being sold loose in paper and polythene bags to glossy flexible laminate structures, today salt pours out of premium and thoughtful packaging detailing. We at the Montage Group understand that the function of packing or the pack of salt is no longer confined to simply holding and transporting the product. With globalisation and improved regulatory requirements, we have upped our game to create new products that offer the best barriers against contamination, build brand image and function as a key tool that influences channels of distribution.

Our independent cell dedicated to packaging development is where all the research takes place. It has grown enormously in the last few years. Recently we became forefront developers of being sold in spout bags for our clients. With the spout application added to an attractive flexible stand-up pouch, consumers can easily control the quantity of salt through the packaging while cooking & baking.

All innovation and R&D was done to achieve the following goals:

1. To contain the product and to avoid spillage or leakage during various stages of production and until it reached the consumer.

2. To eliminate the drop-test failure issue, a common problem and area of concern in the sector by a specially designed laminate structure.

3. To protect the product from damage or contamination against the climate, including high temperatures, humidity, light and gases in the air.

4. To help push sales and create a brand identity by an eye-catching and attractive shelf appeal.

5. To reduce wastage once the packaging is opened and offer a simple and handy closure option to facilitate convenience.

6. To aid in stacking and storage by creating a shape and form in warehouses, retail stores and the consumer’s kitchen.

We believe we have hit jackpot with this highly premium spout packaging for Ankur Salt. Today’s consumer’s lead hectic lives and convenience is of utmost importance to them. Our packaging is designed to be compact, closable, easy to pour out and close and open option which is receiving rave reviews from industry experts and most importantly the end-users.
