For us, every employee and worker of the Montage Group is an intrinsic part of our family. Not only are our suppliers, distributors and external agencies but also their loved ones an integral extension of who we are. Caring for them and ensuring their safety and security becomes our core responsibility. So when the second wave of Covid-19 hit India like a tidal wave the country’s health care infrastructure began to crumble under pressure. With no availability of hospital beds and poor supply of medical oxygen, we at Montage joined the fight against the pandemic by offering a firm hand in support.
For the last 30 days, we have formed an internal Task Force that ensures continuous medicine supply to all our factory and office premises spread across the country. With a bleak situation especially hitting in North India our team has worked round-the-clock to ensure comprehensive Covid-ready medicine kits are regularly reaching Covid-hit patients in our factories, offices in Noida and Uttrakhand. Special logistics are being arranged daily to ensure timely help. This has ensured minimum casualties in such panic situations and lots of blessings from our stakeholders. So far we have managed to send thousands of medical kits to needy employees, customers, clients and their families across the country.
In full support of the government initiative, all our factories have become centres for the Covid-19 vaccination drive. We’re happy to share that all our 45+ members have been vaccinated and are now one step closer to the fight against the pandemic. Acknowledging that we serve the FMCG sector, an essential goods industry, we have been sprucing our production levels to meet the rising demand for basic goods of the common man. Despite the limited workforce on the floor, we are burning the midnight oil to meet targets. Every factory and office has an inspection team that ensures stringent compliance with Covid-19 safety measures. Apart from sanitation centres at regular intervals, we are offering free RT/PCR tests to every employee of the Montage Group irrespective of the frequency.
All our company guest houses have been converted into quarantine facilities for employees who have turned Covid positive and choose not to home-quarantine to avoid the risk of spreading to family members. With a provision for a safe and clean environment, nutritious meals and an in-house medical facility we have extended 100% care to the ailing members of the Montage family. In our factory premises, we have temporary isolation wards constructed for factory workers to care for them and support their wellbeing. To meet the requirements of N-95 masks we have started the temporary production of same in our factories. By donating high-quality masks to all our employees, workers and several Covid warrior communities we have shown solidarity to the government and mankind at large.
With the pandemic raging in fury, as Director of Montage Group, I am proud to lead a dedicated team of professionals that is working hard and smart to build a chain to work with central and state governments and augment Covid essential supply. With a focus on domestic capacity enhancement, our team has been created strong logistic abilities related to transportation, non-availability of essentials, and policy-level interventions.
